Frank Schaeffel
tries to put all the experimental
results from the lab together.

He develops models of how emmetropization could work, helps designing
experiments and to write publications. He also writes grant applications
for external funding support.

His hobby is to explore the various applications of photorefraction like surface reconstruction of faces (A) or the optic disc (B), and to program algorithms to automate and speed up photorefraction procedures.
